"I met Gary when I need to rebuild my floating dock. (He came recommended to me by Four Seasons Marina in Rowayton). The guy who built the old one came up with a ridiculous estimate, so I asked Gary to come up with one as well.

He proposed a better design (using plastic barrels underneath the wood) for a lot more reasonable price. He built it quickly and did a very nice job. During the design phase he was very receptive to some of my esthetics concerns (I wanted the barrels not to be visible) and constructed a sleek, low profile dock.

Having seen how nicely the dock came out, I contracted Gary to rebuild my deck as well. He did a very nice job on that too and completely earned my trust. The deck job was followed by installing a swimming ladder on the floating dock, wooden railings on the deck and copper tops on the pilings. He also talked me out of a couple of things, the value, or the expected longevity of which was questionable.

Aside from the excellent work that Gary does, I like that I can bounce ideas of him and ask for advice with some tricky issues. He is a no-nonsense, to the point guy. He does not talk much and gets the work done quickly and efficiently.

I highly recommend his services."

"During winter 07 to spring 08 Durocher Marine was involved in the Long Island Replacement Cable (LIRC) project. G&C was initially hired to assist in a limited capacity but the ability to arrive at innovative solutions led to increasingly larger roles. Beyond performing as a dependable contractor we found Gary to be an invaluable resource for his local contacts. There is no doubt we were able to save money and time using G&C."

"Recently G&C Marine Services completed a project for us re-doing an area of our property that had eroded badly over the years. Gary and his team not only did an exceptional job, on time and within budget, but continued to check on the project well after all of the work had been completed. We would not hesitate to have G&C back to do additional work if and when needed."
